五管瓶，又称多管瓶，最早可追溯到五代时期，是流行于宋的一种瓶式，因瓶肩部各面分布着直立的多棱形或圆形管而得名。有五管，六管，十管，十五管等多种制式。北宋，五管瓶大量烧造，种类丰富，品种繁多，装饰多样。就器盖而言，有葫芦钮、莲花钮、振翅的小鸟、打鸣的公鸡、仰吠的小狗；就小管数量而言，有四管、五管、六管、七管，其中五管最为常见；就管口形状而言，有圆形、花形，还有的不是管状的，而是叶形的，有五叶、四叶等；就装饰而言，有篦划纹、莲瓣纹、素面无纹。南宋，五管瓶渐少，出现了龙虎瓶之类的新品种。
