"Sichuan copper coins made by the military government" was the product of the revolution of 1911. The "Chengdu mutiny" took place in December 1911. The Sichuan military government, with Yin Changheng and Luo Lun as the chief and deputy governors, replaced the Sichuan military government of the Han Dynasty, which was established only 12 days ago. At the beginning of the establishment of the new Sichuan military government, it was faced with the financial dilemma of increasing demand and reducing expenditure. The military government quickly took over the Sichuan Chengdu mint and decided to cast "Sichuan copper coins" as an emergency. In April of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Chengdu Mint in Sichuan Province, at the order of the Sichuan military government, opened a mold to cast "Sichuan copper coin made by military government" (also known as "Han" character copper yuan).

The main function of Sichuan copper coins is to pay military salaries, so it has dual functions of military currency and civil currency. This coin has five denominations: 5 Wen, 10 Wen, 20 Wen, 50 Wen and 100 Wen, of which 100 Wen is extremely rare. However, the number of 50 Wen coins is relatively small, and the number of 10 Wen coins is the largest.

This group of Sichuan copper coins were made by the military government, which were 50 Wen and 100 Wen respectively. On the front side, there were four characters of Sichuan copper coins with Begonia pattern in the middle. The upper margin was "made by the military government" and the lower margin was the 50 Wen and 100 Wen respectively, indicating the currency value. The left and right sides are decorated with a flower star pattern. On the back, there are six characters in the first year of the Republic of China and the second year of the Republic of China. There is a circle in the center, in which there is a seal character "Han". There are 18 small circles around the circle, representing the 18 provinces at that time. The 18 circles around the word "Han" mean that the people of 18 provinces unite to fight for "expelling Tartars and restoring China". It bears the distinctive time mark of the period of the revolution of 1911 and witnessed the magnificent history of the Republic of China! Among them, when making 100 Wen coins, the version was particularly special. There was a 40 degree dislocation between the front and the back, which was a rigid wrong plate formed in the process of casting. It is said that such a serious wrong edition coin should not be circulated to the people. I don't know what kind of situation it was in circulation at that time. The patterns and characters were clear, basically no wear and tear, and the surface was smooth and smooth, There are no obvious impact marks on the edge, which can be regarded as the best product in the wrong edition currency.
